In regards to film noire, it made me think of game noire…and makes me wanto fire Deja Vu on nes again to finish it up. What a great game. Another I instantly thought of is the game I’m currently plodding my ass through, hotel dusk on ds…damn great game so far. And also…ceasars are my mixed drink of choice. Especially substituting gin for the vodka…damn.

Gentlemen who also forgot Deadwood, Rome and Caprica as shows that need to come back from the cancelation graveyard.

  3. John says:

I thought Rome ended well. Never saw Caprica. I’d always love more Deadwood, but that ship has sailed.

  4. Its probably safe to say that film noir has been on life support for a long time now, but like LA Noire, it does resurface occasionaly. Most notably in 2005’s “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”. While not the black and white, seedy, smoky bar style, it is very much a modern and very stylish update to the classic style of film noir. And its a really good movie. I’m not sure if it’s on Netflix, but you should probably just own it.

  5. John says:

That was one of the movies we mentioned, and was a film-fest movie a couple years ago. GREAT flick!

Great show guys! Even tired, you still crank out a great conversation!
Thinking about film noir titles, what do you think of 1997’s “The Fifth Element”? I know it’s a stretch, but I think it might fit. Despite Bruce Willis, I liked that film. Gary Oldman was an amazing protagonist. Milla Jovovitch… just “yum.”
